Assistant Manager

Road transportation delivery position requires you to be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and have access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.

• You must possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator allowed).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and precise movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car to customer’s door and drop flyers and door hangers.

• Orientation and training provided on the job.
• Communication skills to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Exposure To

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product and performing outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in coolers to 90°F and above in some areas.
• Sudden changes in temperature indoors and outdoors.
• Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters including walk‑in coolers.
• Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500 °F or higher.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

• Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
• Depth perception.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Far vision and night vision for driving.

Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and hand tasks as described for daily operations.

• Deliver product by car to customer’s door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance.
• English language proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods during a shift.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• At least 6 months experience as a shift supervisor or team lead in the restaurant industry.
