Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold a valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
• Provide access to an insured vehicle for delivery duties.
• Possess navigational skills: read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car to the customer’s door.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.

• Orientation and job‑site training provided on the job.
• Strong communication skills: comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers, process orders over the phone and in person.
• Mandatory mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination and hand‑eye coordination; rapid and accurate hand movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.

• Work is performed in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while removing trash, delivering product, driving, and couponing.
• In‑store temperatures range from 36° F in the cooler to 90° F or higher in some work areas, with sudden changes in temperature.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces/tools up to 500° F or higher, and sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Standing on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces; typical work surfaces 36″ to 48″ high.
• Walking for short distances between the store and delivery vehicle, and from the delivery vehicle to the customer’s location.
• Sitting typically at a desk or table for paperwork.
• Lifting: bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb; cases up to 3′ × 1.5″, stacked up to 72″ high.
• Carrying: small items (e.g., 3 lb cans), pizza sauce 30 lb, trays of dough ~12 lb each, during delivery carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing.
• Pushing/pulling trays on dollies; force up to 7.5 lb.
• Climbing: infrequent navigation of stairs or ladder for maintenance; delivery may require more than five flights of stairs.
• Stooping, bending, crouching/squatting to stock shelves, clean low areas.
• Driving: deliver pizzas within a designated area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination; continuous use of hands; forearm and wrist force while shaping dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter, assembling boxes.
• Use of pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, peel.

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
