Overview

Manager, Telecom Product Management, is responsible for owning and scaling multiple product lines, including core cellular mobility and fixed wireless offerings in addition to value‑added services such as device protection products and other insurance products. This role operates at a portfolio level and is accountable for product strategy, roadmap execution, and lifecycle management across multiple products, including new to be added product lines.

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development and Fulfillment, this role serves as the primary product leader for assigned product lines and is responsible for balancing customer experience, competitive positioning, product operations and profitability. The position requires strong cross‑functional leadership and the ability to manage complex initiatives in a growth‑stage environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership

  • Own product strategy and roadmap execution across multiple product lines, including cellular mobility and adjacent value‑added services including insurance for telecom and non‑telecom products.
  • Define portfolio priorities and sequencing to ensure alignment with company strategy, customer needs, and financial objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new product introductions, enhancements, lifecycle transitions, and end‑of‑life decisions.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive offerings, regulatory considerations, and emerging technologies to inform strategic direction.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Lead initiatives across the full product lifecycle, including discovery, validation, launch, optimization, and retirement.
  • Direct competitive market analysis, feature benchmarking, pricing strategy, and margin analysis to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Oversee changes across multiple product lines while managing dependencies and trade‑offs.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary product point of contact across Fulfillment, Marketing, Customer Care, IT, Finance, Legal, and external partners.
  • Partner with Fulfillment to translate product strategy into executable sourcing, inventory, and launch plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on go‑to‑market strategy, promotions, bundling, and launch timing.
  • Present product strategy, roadmaps, and business cases to executive leadership.
  • Lead organizational readiness activities, including internal training, documentation, and enablement.

Program & Change Management

  • Program owner for complex, cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones to ensure timely and compliant product launches.
  • Support the development and adoption of scalable product management processes, standards, and best practices as the organization grows.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications and mobility products including fixed wireless.
  • Experience managing multiple product lines or a product portfolio.
  • Familiarity with value‑added telecom services, such as device protection or insurance products.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including pricing and margin analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage competing initiatives, and operate effectively in a growth environment.
  • Data‑driven decision‑making mindset with experience using experimentation and validation techniques.
