Overview

Operation Manager

Grapevine, TX

Exempt Full-time 9:00-17:00 Onsite

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that operations and customer service are rendered in a professional, timely, and accurate fashion.
  • Shipment arrangements (coordinate with customs broker, carriers, truckers, and customers) correctly in a timely manner.
  • Assists the coordinator staff in solving operational issues, customer service items and client issues.
  • To handle and supervise International Forwarding (Air & Ocean) operation, Warehouse distribution, Truck service, Moving service and Accounting operation independently with quality service and high level of performance.
  • Complete billing in a timely manner, including creating billing, sending out, and processing vendor invoices. Then collect payments.
  • Ensures that accounting matters are reported promptly and accurately.
  • Cooperate with sales staff and actively generate new business and maintain business activity.
  • Assists coordinator staff in establishing relationships with prospective clients, qualifying our services for the needs of the client and understanding the client's business needs.
  • To provide quotations when needed to customers or overseas agents.
  • Ensure accurate pricing for services offered and rendered as the rate negotiation team.
  • To contribute to our company to maximize profit by minimizing costs.
  • Monitors uncollected A/R and takes appropriate and timely action.
  • Assists in performance evaluations, takes disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • To organize information, files.
Qualifications and Skills
  • To follow company rules & standard operating procedures to be able to work independently.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in typing, excel, word, outlook, Web, Cargo Wise, Company internal system, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of the freight forwarding business and knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management, implementing best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
