Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Role

This is one of the most influential roles at Flooret.

Flooret's products are the heart of the company. Our continued growth depends on making excellent decisions about what we offer, which customer needs we serve, where we invest, and what we simplify or stop doing. The Head of Product owns those decisions.

You'll define Flooret's product strategy, build the long‑range roadmap, manage the health of the portfolio, and lead products from customer insight through launch and lifecycle management. This role sits at the center of the company, partnering closely with Product Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer Experience.

Who Thrives Here

You are likely to thrive in this role if:

  • You are deeply curious about customers and unfamiliar categories. You see product opportunities in reviews, conversations, data, samples, stores, job sites, and factories.
  • You develop informed opinions and defend them with evidence. You have strong product taste but equal respect for economics, operational realities, and execution.
  • You understand that saying no is one of the most important product responsibilities. Simplification is often more valuable than expansion.
  • You are equally comfortable discussing a five‑year portfolio strategy and reviewing a physical product sample.
  • You naturally become the connective tissue between teams, gathering input broadly while owning recommendations and decisions.
  • You move quickly, follow through, and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • You seek input without requiring consensus.
  • You want to help build a company, a product function, and a category‑defining brand.
What You’ll Own
  • Define Flooret's long‑range product strategy and roadmap.
  • Own the evolution of the product portfolio across DTC, Retail, Commercial, and Independent Dealer channels.
  • Lead decisions on product introductions, expansions, refreshes, repositioning, and retirements.
  • Ensure every product earns its place in the portfolio.
Customer, Category & Design Insight
  • Build a deep understanding of why customers buy, hesitate, compare, convert, return, and recommend.
  • Develop expertise in flooring, materials, finishes, installation methods, and adjacent design trends.
  • Translate customer and market insights into product opportunities before they become obvious.
  • Operate with the mindset of a general manager for Flooret's product portfolio.
  • Monitor product performance across revenue, margin, conversion, customer sentiment, inventory productivity, returns, and lifecycle stage.
  • Lead product performance reviews and recommend actions based on evidence.
Product Development & Launch
  • Lead products from opportunity definition through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
  • Make informed tradeoffs across customer value, quality, design, cost, speed, and complexity.
What We’re Looking For

The strongest candidates typically bring:

  • 8+ years managing physical products, categories, assortments, or consumer product portfolios.
  • Strong commercial judgment across revenue, margin, pricing, inventory, and operational complexity.
  • Success leading cross‑functional work across product, sourcing, supply chain, operations, marketing, sales, and finance.
  • Experience launching and managing products in DTC, Retail, Commercial, Marketplace, or similar channels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strongly Preferred
  • Flooring, building materials, home improvement, furniture, interiors, or another design‑led physical product category.
  • Merchandising, assortment planning, or category management experience.
  • Product‑level P&L ownership.
  • Experience helping build product capabilities within a growing company.
What We Offer
  • Base Salary + Bonus
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution
