Sr. Production Manager (DX

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Transformation, this position is responsible for managing all resources involved in the assembly, repair and overhaul, and remanufacturing of HD Truck related products. In addition this position is responsible for Supporting financial, customer, quality and employee objectives Maintaining manufacturing timelines, developing and implementing plans to enhance productivity, cost improvement objectives, and nurturing employee development Driving the implementation within the department of key corporate initiatives such as Lean and EH&S.

• Administer Fleet Pride company and plant policies
• Maintain effective intra and inter departmental communications
• Establish, monitor, and maintain active communications between all levels of plant personnel to assure a positive work environment
• Direct the development and implementation of cost, productivity, and strategic manufacturing programs consistent with plant objectives and using Lean principles
• Analyze department capacity restrictions and develop alternative plans to improve methods and layouts
• Recommend new equipment expenditures to align capacity with plant objectives
• Work closely with Demand Planning and scheduling to optimize factory throughput
• Identify metrics for key business drivers and reinforce knowledge of them throughout the operations
• Implement process/quality improvement and cost reduction
• Effectively manage the departmental budget, including tracking of capital equipment
• Maintain departmental tooling and equipment, including the provision of new/replacement hand tools etc.
• Manage plant manpower and capacity planning
• Communicate and enforce product quality standards and review team/individual quality performance through the analysis of relevant data and metrics
• Provide on-going mentoring, coaching and development of direct reports to instill a team-focused and quality culture within the department
• Complete annual performance evaluation/mid-year progress reviews for all direct reports
• Identify opportunities for development and support employees through on-going coaching/counseling, as required
• Pursue and implement the Fleet Pride code of ethics and values
• Provide leadership with Fleet Pride’s management system for environment, health, safety (EH&S)
• Maintain a positive commitment to the prevention of pollution and protection of the environment following environmental procedures, work instructions and other operational controls
• Actively participate in the quality improvement process
• Perform other duties, as required

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or operations
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and principles
• Six Sigma Tools would be beneficial
• Bilingual
• No relocation benefit is being offered with this position
