We are seeking a Job Captain / Architectural Designer to join our team in Grapevine, TX. This position is ideal for an experienced architectural professional with a passion for residential design and a strong background in developing construction documents for wood-framed residential projects. The Job Captain will play a key role in coordinating project teams, producing high-quality construction drawings, and supporting projects from design through construction.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced working with architects, consultants, and clients to deliver successful residential projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare complete construction documents for residential projects, including plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.
- Coordinate project activities with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal design teams.
- Develop and revise architectural drawings using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Assist with project scheduling, document management, and design coordination.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and product submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate project updates with stakeholders.
- Support projects through all phases, from schematic design to construction administration.
- Maintain quality control and consistency across project documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- 3+ years of architectural design experience.
- Experience designing residential projects with wood-framed construction.
- Working knowledge of residential building codes and construction practices.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and consultants.
- Proficiency with Revit (preferred) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with multifamily, townhome, or single-family residential projects.
- Progress toward architectural licensure is a plus.
