Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of complex Material Handling Equipment (MHE) solutions. This role is responsible for delivering concurrent engineering projects, developing integrated building and system designs, and driving resolution of highly complex issues across automation, robotics, and conveyance systems. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, excels at root‑cause analysis, and contributes as both an individual performer and a subject matter expert (SME).
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle of MHE system projects, from concept through deployment.
- Deliver concurrent building and system designs—including robotics, automation, and conveyance solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex engineering problems using structured methodologies.
- Develop integrated solutions to address technical gaps and scalability needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across automation and MHE domains.
- Participate in DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, operations, and external vendor teams.
- Support operational excellence efforts and long‑term process enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering, systems design, or large‑scale project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage complex project life cycles and competing priorities.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Experience with automation, conveyor systems, robotics, or related technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Smartsheet for project planning and scheduling.
- Hands‑on experience with automation technologies such as conveyors, sorters, robotic work cells, and integrated systems.
This role requires 50–80% travel and offers flexibility to operate from major U.S. hubs including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Arlington, Austin, Bellevue, Boston, Nashville, New York City, Seattle, Houston, and Phoenix. This is a Contract position based out of Grapevine, TX.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.
