Job DescriptionJob Title: Campus Monitor Days/Status: Nonexempt, 187 Days
Department/School: Assigned Campus Pay Grade: Clerical 1
Reports to: Principal
Primary PurposeThe primary purposeis to monitor campus parking lots to maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
QualificationsEducation/
Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year security experience
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Knowledge of District organization and operations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Continuously monitor all staff and student parking lots, maintaining high visibility to discourage vandalism and unsafe driving habits.
- Ensure vehicles are parked in appropriately designated spaces. Prepare referrals for violations and route to appropriate administrator.
- Identify, monitor, and report all non-student individuals on campus.
- Maintain computerized records of all vehicles with a school parking permit and parking violation referrals.
- Assist in releasing students at appropriate times as directed.
- Monitor vehicles to ensure compliance with rules and permit requirements.
- Monitor loading and unloading of students on buses for morning and afternoon routes.
- Maintain order in parking lots during high traffic times and special events.
- Notify students of problems with vehicles, including headlights left on, etc., when appropriate. Assist students with disabled vehicles as directed and as appropriate.
- Assist law enforcement officials in directing canine units for inspections.
- Operate District equipment in a safe manner.
- Participate in meetings/training sessions as designed by campus or district staff.
- Assist in campus duty assignments as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- All other duties as assigned.
Mental/Physical/Environmental Demands:
- Maintain emotional control under stress;
Exposure to extreme heat or cold, weather elements. - Demonstrate patience and flexibility in changing job demands and when interacting with parents, staff, students, visitors, and the public, including working with frequent interruptions.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $112.50 Per Day
