Overview
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our organization by systematically recording all financial transactions. Your work will ensure that all accounts, invoices, payments, and receipts are accurately documented and reconciled, providing a clear and up-to-date financial picture. You will collaborate closely with accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This role demands meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial records efficiently. Ultimately, your contributions will enable informed financial decision-making and support the overall fiscal responsibility of the company.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of payroll and tax regulations applicable in the United States.
- Previous experience working in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process accurately and timely.
- Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and update accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and summaries to management as required.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payment of invoices and bills.
- Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by providing accurate data.
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
The required skills such as proficiency in accounting software and numerical accuracy are essential for daily tasks like recording transactions and reconciling accounts, ensuring financial data integrity. Attention to detail helps in identifying discrepancies and maintaining precise financial records, which is critical for compliance and audit readiness.
