The Instructor supports the immediate and ongoing education needs of patients, parents, and families in the communities served by BSWH.
Essential Functions OfThe Role
- Consults with the Program Coordinator for program planning, implementation and evaluation in order to meet patient, parent and community needs.
- Collects and assesses data and information related to education needs and other pertinent situations, including identification of trends, issues and supporting data to determine a comprehensive education program for parents, community members and nurses including virtual (online) and classroom formats.
- Develops and delivers or coordinates educational programs as directed (e.g., Grand Rounds, in-service) to support competence and professional growth of the community and nursing staff.
- Promotes and cultivates positive relationships with the hospital and the community to foster a positive image and relationships with BSWH.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to set up online and in-person classes and support groups.
- Technical skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and virtual technology (Zoom, Teams, Webex).
- Ability to teach skills and demonstrate clearly using examples or props as needed.

Qualifications- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or (4) four years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- EXPERIENCE - (2) Two Years of Experience
