• Shift: FT/Days | Four 10-hour shifts per week | 4–5 call shifts per month, one weekend call shift every 6–7 weeks
• Candidates must live in a 15 mile radius of the facility
• Cath Lab experience preferred; new grads considered
• Orientation will be held at other Heart Hospital facilities within the DFW area

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, assists Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to orientation and training of other team members. Supports quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.

• Assist Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator procedures, diagnostic and interventional studies, peripheral and coronary interventions, and thrombolytic therapy.
• Follow radiation protection regulations; provide emergency procedures such as CPR and defibrillation as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-procedure care and monitoring; orient patients for procedures.
• Monitor ECG, pressures, temperature, and impedance; notify physician of variances.
• Assist with RF/Cryo ablation systems and 3D mapping; document procedures.
• Manage and maintain imaging and documentation for cardiac and peripheral cases.
• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile fields, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Coordinate permissions and/or audits of resources during inventories.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment; escalate as needed.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and students; assist with on-call activities as required.
• Engage in quality control monitoring, such as NPSG audits and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in governance, committee work, LEAN/NOBLE/5S projects, and QC activities with managers.
• Transport patients to and from the procedural area and demonstrate strong customer service.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  Associate’s degree in a related field, or completion of US military training program with equivalent experience, or 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
• On-call availability per facility/department policy.
• Knowledge of invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation, and techniques; understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s degree or 2 years of related work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Experience:
  
  Cath Lab experience preferred; new grads considered.
• Certification/License/Registration:
  • ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • ARRT-R Radiography or RCIS
