Oncology

Our Oncology unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity?patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our Oncology leadership team fosters an environment that supports?learning, mentoring, and building for every team member.?

Patient Population

Med/Surg/Tele, PCU, Oncology, Chemo, Postop surgery (breast, bladder, lung, colon, and crani ), Cardiac drips, Palliative Care (end of life and hospice support)

Patient Ratios

1:4 for Chemo; 1:5 for Med/Tele

Number of Beds

20 beds

Department Specifics

Active Unit Based Council, Pharmacist and Social Worker on the unit during the day to partner with nurses in patient care, Multidisciplinary Team that works together, Chemotherapy training is required within the first 90 days. We love celebrating together in an environment that encourages excellence.

Shift

FT Nights, 7pm-7am

Weekend Requirement

4 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period

Experience Requirements

2 years of Med/Surg experience, PCU experience preferred

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare.
