Patient Service Specialist (Patient Service Representative) Grapevine, TX

About the RoleWe are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join a busy outpatient therapy clinic. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting daily front office operations.
The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Healthcare experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong customer service and administrative backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Complete patient registration and intake
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations
- Collect copays and patient payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry
- Scan, fax, and organize patient documentation
- Support clinical staff with administrative needs
- Assist with cash balancing and front office operations
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Medical, dental, or healthcare front office experience
- Insurance verification experience
- Scheduling and patient registration experience
- Administrative experience in a high-volume office setting
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Customer-service driven
- Quick learner with strong retention skills
- Professional and respectful
- Team-oriented attitude
- Adaptable in a changing environment

- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break
- Rotating schedules between
* 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday* - * Fridays operate between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM*
- Occasional flexibility for schedule adjustments may be available, but regular attendance during assigned hours is expected
- On-site in Grapevine, TX
- High-volume, multi-discipline outpatient clinic
- Supports more than 600 patient visits per week
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and customer service skills
- Background check required
- Drug screen required
- Flu vaccination required
- Business casual dress code

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
