Summary
The Computer Technician will be responsible for providing computer diagnostics and repairs on tablets, laptops, desktops, and all in one devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair laptops.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose computer systems, both hardware and software.
- Manually examine and repair computer hardware and peripheral components.
- Take apart and re‑assemble computer components and parts.
- Analyze failed equipment according to established methods or procedures and determine whether equipment is repairable.
- Resolve hardware technical issues within schedule and provide break-and-fix solutions using in‑house systems.
- Set up computer systems and hardware, and install or reinstall software programs for users.
- Achieve daily Units/unit metrics – Minimum KPI Standards of 1.49 or above (able to meet within 90 days of employment).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Build and maintain a positive work environment supported by open feedback and two‑way communication at all levels.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean at all times.
- Maintain a positive work environment while supporting the company culture.
- Foster a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well‑being of all associates.
- Working towards completing A+ certification or still attending tech school.
- Solid 2 to 3 years of repair experience, preferably in a low‑production PC environment.
- Experience with 1–2 OEMs and knowledge of simple or repetitive component replacement such as LCD/HDD for multiple commodities.
- Working knowledge of models such as Dell, HP, Toshiba, Apple, and Acer products.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Clearly organize and prioritize work to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read and follow written instructions and ideas accurately.
- Use hands, wrists, and fingers for keyboard work and other small handheld tools.
- Be hands‑on with ambition and drive to succeed; make things happen.
- Achieve results through teamwork and meet goal‑oriented targets.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Reach daily KPI/hour metrics – Minimum KPI Standards of 1.25–1.8 (able to meet within 90 days of employment).
- Gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Shows determination to achieve excellent results.
- Finds better ways to improve processes.
- Demands top performance.
- Inspires commitment.
Must tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Work conditions include hot summers and cold winters. Individuals may need to walk extensive periods, reach over shoulder heights, bend or stoop below the waist, perform repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
