The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex enterprise technology initiatives from inception through delivery. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, executive leadership, product teams, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with technical acumen across enterprise applications, ERP platforms, data management, integrations, and cloud technologies. This individual drives strategic initiatives, manages cross-functional teams, mitigates delivery risks, and ensures alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities Program and Project LeadershipLead multiple concurrent enterprise technology projects and strategic initiatives.
Develop project charters, schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk assessments, and communication plans.
Drive project execution through Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and project status reviews.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
Technical Delivery ManagementPartner with architects, developers, database administrators, security engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver complex technical solutions.
Coordinate enterprise application implementations, upgrades, integrations, and modernization efforts.
Manage dependencies across multiple technology platforms and business functions.
Oversee testing, deployment planning, release management, and production readiness activities.
Identify and resolve technical and operational risks impacting project success.
Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with executive leadership, business sponsors, and operational teams to define project objectives and success criteria.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Enterprise Applications & Data InitiativesSupport ERP, supply chain, finance, procurement, master data management, and enterprise data initiatives.
Coordinate large-scale application implementations and business process transformation efforts.
Partner with product managers and business leaders to prioritize enhancements and strategic initiatives.
Drive data governance, reporting, and analytics-related projects.
Lead matrixed teams consisting of technical and functional resources, including offshore and third-party partners.
Mentor project team members and promote project management best practices.
Foster collaboration among geographically distributed teams.
Support resource planning and capacity management activities.
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and organizational effectiveness.
Promote Agile practices, project governance standards, and operational excellence.
Contribute to PMO standards, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of project or program management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience managing large-scale ERP, enterprise application, or digital transformation projects.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models.
Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with both executive leadership and technical teams.
Preferred QualificationsOracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud, or ERP implementation experience.
Experience with enterprise data platforms, data governance, and analytics initiatives.
Background in solution architecture, business analysis, or application development.
Experience managing global delivery teams and offshore resources.
PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, ITIL, or related certifications.
