We have an exciting full‑time Operations Manager opening at our Grapevine, TX location. The Operations Manager will drive performance, oversee personnel, receiving, inventory, shipping, logistics, fiscal and facilities activities at the distribution center, and ensure consistency and cost savings through standard work processes.
Essential FunctionsResponsibilities include overall management of the distribution center. This includes understanding the DC’s goals and objectives, implementing strategies, infusing Concordance culture, collaborating with departments to deliver outstanding service, meeting financial objectives, and managing hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Review, recommend, and develop changes in operations, processes, and systems, ensuring proper implementation and maintenance of approved changes.
- Ensure the highest standards in safety, personnel, efficiency, and product quality, while complying with company policies and legal regulations.
- Develop relationships and excellent communication with internal and external key members; understand needs and expectations of the account.
- Lead warehouse personnel and supervisors, including hiring, training, development, supervision, and performance management.
- Lead all production from product order fulfillment to kit completion.
- Provide clear understanding and constant feedback to team members and leadership on progress against agreed goals.
- Work proactively with cross functional teams to meet or exceed customer expectations and address service failures with corrective actions.
- Assist in developing warehouse design, planning layout, product flow, and handling systems; evaluate and recommend equipment.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to build strong, effective relationships supporting growth and profitability.
- Provide leadership exhibiting a positive attitude while navigating industry and company changes.
- Participate in company meetings and initiatives; share best practices and industry knowledge.
- Represent the company positively to the community, aligned with marketing and customer goals.
- Travel required 15% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of operations‑distribution experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Previous experience supervising, training, and developing staff.
- Demonstrated leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Broad knowledge of distribution center processes and operations.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA, and state laws.
- Understanding of DOT regulations preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Voice Pick and VAI systems (or similar).
- Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships.
- Understanding of performance management principles.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Solid analytical skills and effective oral and written communication.
- Self‑starter with positive attitude and ability to execute initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a leadership team.
- Ability to influence decisions at various levels.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
