The DC Operations Manager serves as the primary execution arm of senior leadership, owning floor-level performance at the Grapevine, TX distribution center across all fulfillment functions while operating in full alignment with strategic direction set above. This role is intentionally complementary: senior leadership owns vision, network strategy, and final decisions; this manager owns daily implementation, people accountability, and operational rhythm that brings that vision to life.
The right candidate is a disciplined, startup-ready operator who grows and develops teams, drives consistency, and serves as the trusted on-site partner to senior leadership.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Inbound- Manage inbound freight receipt, vendor PO processing & transfer handling
- Enforce ASN accuracy & dock-to-stock SLA targets
- Uphold receiving quality standards: damage inspection, quantity validation & system reconciliation
- Execute daily DTC, retail replenishment (EDI/non-EDI) & B2B wholesale fulfillment
- Own daily wave planning & labor deployment against carrier cutoffs
- Ensure routing guide, manifest & shipment documentation compliance
- Minimize shorts, backorders & fulfillment exceptions
- Manage end-to-end returns: receipt, grading, disposition & restocking
- Own etching/personalization capacity planning & scheduling
- Track return reason codes & quality trends; elevate findings upward
- Execute hiring, onboarding & development activities in alignment with senior leadership direction
- Build performance culture through coaching, feedback & accountability
- Author & maintain SOPs; surface policy-level changes to leadership
- Produce SITREPs & KPI reporting to inform leadership decisions
- Execute CI initiatives within approved scope; elevate cross-functional impact items to leadership
- Dock-to-Stock Cycle Time
- Order Cycle Time & On-Time Ship Rate
- Pick/Pack Accuracy Rate
- CPU Tracking & Variance Reporting by Department
- Returns Processing Throughput
- Inbound ASN Accuracy Rate
- Labor Efficiency & Hours per Order
- Etching Defect Rate & Capacity Utilization
- Team Onboarding Completion & Retention Rate
- Channel SLA Execution Reporting (DTC, Retail, B2B)
- 5-8+ years single-site DC/fulfillment ops management
- E-Commerce - High-volume DTC fulfillment, SLA & carrier mgmt
- Retail & B2B - EDI, routing guide compliance, wholesale operations
- Team Leadership of 25+ associates, multi-layer direct reports
- Systems - WMS Ship Hero, Net Suite WMS, or equivalent
- Startup Fit Builds structure in ambiguous, high-growth environments
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred
