Position: Full-Time Assistant Manager

Cinemark is looking for Assistant Managers to support theatre operations.

Role Summary

Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after finishing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months.

Responsibilities
  • Follow the direction of the General Manager.
  • Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff.
  • Responsible for working in all departments and all theatre job functions.
  • Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.
  • Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
  • Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition.
  • Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General Manager.
  • Ensure theatre Team Members follow the dress code.
  • Interact with Guests for improved service in the theatre and ensure Team Members provide superior Customer service.
  • Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines and enforce them fairly and consistently.
  • Report all Employee relations issues to the General Manager (or via  if GM absent).
  • Maintain a high work ethic, code of conduct, and sanitize high-contact areas.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment appropriately and adapt to cleaning tasks.
  • Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).
  • Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
  • Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
  • Complete basic food handling training and obtain local or state certifications, health card, or permit where required.
  • Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
  • Provide excellent Guest service with accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
  • Effective communication in verbal and written English; converse with all ages, genders, and personalities.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Follow direction and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and lead others.
  • Resolve conflict.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
