Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Electrical Tester/Assembler (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $22 -$25 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Electrical Tester/Assembler. The electrical tester/assembler is responsible for a wide range of skills including: electrical testing, and inspection of items such as panel boards and switchboards in order to verify correct product function. Performing troubleshooting and repair as required. Assembling, fitting and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
- Prepare products for tests and inspections in accordance with procedures and test specifications.
- Perform electrical testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of control panels, switch gear, transfer switches, and related equipment.
- Use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to verify circuit continuity, voltage levels, and control functions.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions of products under test to determine causes and report findings to the supervisor, engineering, etc.
- Assemble and Test panel boards and/or switchboards to customer specification based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with the use of hand and power tools
- Use various tools, such as wire strippers and plyers to perform the electrical wiring assembly of panel boards and/or switchboards.
- Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
- Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.
- Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending suggestions for improvement related to quality, work processes, and environmental safety and health. Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 5S guidelines.
- Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience in an electrical assembly/test related role with the use of hand and/or power tools OR a one-year Technical School diploma in Electrical Systems (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution and two years of experience in an electrical assembly/test related role.
- Must have experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
- Must have experience reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting electrical control systems.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related experience.
- Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.
- Experience using various tools including: manual/electric tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, tape measure, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.
Position Criteria:
- Must be able to interact and contribute in a small team environment and ability to flex according to production demands.
- Lift 35lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading).
- Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
- Keep yourself and teammates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.
- Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
- Attend and actively participate in site meetings and trainings.
