Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Manager
We're looking for a Retention Marketing Manager to own and elevate our lifecycle marketing program across email, SMS, and onsite acquisition. This is a hybrid strategic/operational role: you'll work closely with our Director of Marketing to shape retention strategy, and you'll serve as the primary day-to-day partner to our lifecycle marketing agency, translating strategy into briefs, keeping execution on track, and ensuring everything that goes out reflects our brand and drives results.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces and external partners 'll be the connective tissue between our internal team and our agency which means strong project management instincts and clear, proactive communication are just as important as lifecycle marketing expertise. We're also looking for someone who brings a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and genuinely enjoys collaborating with others.
This role touches nearly every team, so how you work with people matters as much as what you know.
- Partner with the Director of Marketing to develop and refine lifecycle and retention strategy.
- Maintain a clear view of the full customer journey and identify opportunities to improve flows, segments, and campaign performance.
- Ensure lifecycle programs stay aligned with broader marketing priorities and revenue goals.
- Review and refine email/SMS copy for brand voice, clarity, and conversion, whether drafted internally or by the agency.
- Partner with Creative on asset needs and ensure design execution matches brand standards.
- Own final QA before any campaign or flow goes live.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager and agency on segmentation strategy and testing roadmaps.
- Monitor weekly channel KPIs, synthesize insights, and present clear recommendations.
- Maintain list health, deliverability, and compliance standards.
- Own list growth initiatives across onsite popups, landing pages, forms, quizzes, and partnerships.
- Partner with Social and Paid teams to support acquisition efforts.
- Test and scale new concepts for high-quality subscriber growth.
- Align closely with the Director of Marketing on priorities and roadmap.
- Partner with Creative, Social, and eCommerce to ensure channel cohesion.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Flooret and our lifecycle marketing agency, translating strategic direction into clear, actionable briefs.
- Manage the shared campaign and flow calendar, ensuring the agency has what they need on time and deliverables come back on schedule.
- QA all agency-built campaigns and flows for accuracy, brand voice, and performance best practices before deployment.
- Hold the agency accountable to timelines, quality standards, and KPIs; flag risks early and drive resolution.
- You will fully own the email strategy, content, and design direction. The agency will translate that direction into polished, on-brand campaign designs and builds, serving as an execution partner to bring your strategy to life.
- 3–5+ years in CRM, lifecycle, email/SMS, or retention marketing.
- Proven project management skills. You keep multiple work streams organized, on schedule, and don't let things fall through the cracks.
- Experience managing agency, freelance, or vendor relationships strongly preferred; you know how to brief clearly and hold outside partners accountable.
- Strong writing skills with sharp attention to brand voice.
- Analytical mindset; confident with testing, segmentation, and reporting.
- A collaborative, low-ego, positive attitude. You communicate proactively, take ownership without needing to be micromanaged, and work well across teams.
- High attention to detail and a genuine passion for polished execution.
- Experience in interior design, home goods, or home improvement brands is a plus.
- Agency-built campaigns and flows are consistently on time, error-free, and on-brand with minimal firefighting.
- Lifecycle KPIs (retention, engagement, list growth) show steady, measurable improvement quarter over quarter.
- The Marketing Director and cross-functional partners trust this person to manage details and communicate proactively without needing to check in.
- A more scalable, well-organized, and optimized retention engine overall.
