Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Grapevine is preparing to open its doors in Summer 2026, and we are assembling an elite team of cardiovascular professionals who want more than a job—they want to help define the future of heart care in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.

As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state‑of‑the‑art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world‑class, patient‑entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening,
select roles will begin as early as Spring 2026
, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence before the Grapevine campus opens.

Position Details

  • Shift: Full‑time, Days | Four 10‑hour shifts per week | 3‑4 call days a month, staff rotates between Grapevine and THH Grapevine
  • Candidates must live in a 15‑mile radius of the facility
  • Required Experience:

    2 years PCU, ICU, or ER experience
Preferred Experience
  • Cath lab and EP experience
Orientation
  • Orientation will be held at other Heart Hospital facilities within the DFW area

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional. The RN uses the BSWH nursing model to coordinate patient care. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses. The RN develops and implements an individualized care plan and evaluates the patient’s response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of patient needs.

The RN helps patients transition through healthcare without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act. Delegation also considers each patient’s condition and the employee’s competencies.

Essential Functions of the Role
  • Clinical Judgment: conduct accurate assessments, identify and prioritize patient and family needs, develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing care plan, and modify the plan to meet outcomes.
  • Clinical Inquiry: evaluate nursing practice quality and effectiveness, support evidence‑based practice changes through research and learning, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Care: create an attentive, helpful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff; develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries; manage emotional and physical pain to promote relief and healing.
  • Person‑Centered Care: recognize and appreciate a patient’s and family’s unique differences and incorporate culture, beliefs, gender, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, status, age, and values into a care plan.
