Labor & Delivery --- PRN NightsOur Labor & Delivery unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our Labor & Delivery leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.
Number of Beds: 13 beds, 2 ORs
Department Specifics2,400 Deliveries per year. OB Hospitalist & Anesthesia 24/7, 3-time Magnet Recognized Facility, Outstanding Quality Metrics, Strong ICU/ED collaboration, Perinatal Internship, Community Partnerships, OB Emergency Response Team, Participant, and contributor to Texas AIM.
Shift: PRN nights; 7pm-7am
2 call shifts every 6 weeks; must live within 1 hour
Experience required: 1 year if from higher volume in deliveries facility (150+); 2 years if a lower volume facility; NRP, EFM, BLS, ACLS
Preferred: 2 years of L&D, laboring, circulating and triaging

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.
