Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Line Cook role located at Lonestar Cafe in Grapevine, TX. The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistent quality and portion control. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, executing orders during peak service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The Line Cook assists with food prep, labeling, and storage, follows food safety and sanitation standards, and collaborates with the kitchen team to support smooth service.

The role may also include occasional support with inventory, receiving deliveries, and communicating any product or equipment issues to management.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, cook, and plate food in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to quality and consistency.
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including station setup, food prep, portioning, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and safe handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills to coordinate with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a high-heat environment while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Prior line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred; culinary training or coursework is a plus but not required.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Commitment to providing a positive guest experience through consistent food quality and support of front-of-house team members.
