We have a job opening for a full‑time Vice President of Acute Sales located in Concordance places or fully remote. The VP leads the assigned sales team, focusing on new customer acquisition, retention, and achieving corporate goals. The role is customer‑facing and involves interactions up to the C‑Suite. The VP collaborates with Regional Directors and senior management to guide the team toward revenue growth and profitability.
Responsibilities- New customer acquisition (Prime and Secondary).
- Customer retention.
- Align multi‑market strategy to company goals focusing on revenue growth and profitability.
- Cultivate relationships with customers up to and including the C‑Suite.
- Cross‑functional collaboration to define strategy and opportunities.
- Lead and develop team by coaching, training, and providing feedback to promote a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior.
- Networking as a means to expand business opportunities.
- Develop new market opportunities in acute and post‑acute sales.
- Negotiate and define contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure team has proper initial and ongoing training and tools, including programs, services, clinical solutions, sales tools and marketing materials.
- Provide timely communication of performance management, including setting goals and objectives, progress, and year‑end results.
- Work with supplier relations to determine best processes for supporting focus vendors, including new products, incentive programs, growth, promotions, and sales spiffs.
- Strong management of all aspects of the business, including sales mix, expense reduction, and pricing.
- Leverage relationships with customers and suppliers to enhance strategic partnerships and profitability.
- Report market performance, regional performance, and team performance.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and provide periodic support for key/strategic customers.
- Participate in professional organizations.
- Travel up to 75%.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in the healthcare industry in sales, management, supply chain, business development, or service.
- Previous managerial experience required; proven leader with high‑performing teams.
- Proven experience in business development and account management across multiple geographies.
- Understanding of GPOs, IDNs, and ability to translate their needs to the organization.
- Ability to manage through all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present comprehensive reports and conduct difficult conversations.
- Ability to synthesize facts and insights into actionable recommendations.
- Confidence to build relationships with C‑suite, owners, and decision makers.
- Knowledge of industry legal and compliance issues.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem‑solving, initiative, judgment, and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Financially astute with ability to create ROI; P&L responsibility a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key business partners.
- Selected candidate will sign a non‑compete agreement.
- Successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
