Security Officer

Meow Wolf is a social impact art project that fuels a business, and a business that fuels a social impact art project. The Security Officer assists the Safety & Security Manager and Assistant Manager, Security in providing a safe and secure work environment. The officer promotes good working relations with employees, guests, and vendors/contractors and is responsible for securing the premises and personnel by patrolling and inspecting inside and outside of the exhibit, protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, employee/guest injury, illegal activity and/or inappropriate guest/employee activity in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Support security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, and visitors.
  • Maintain a positive interaction with guests and employees daily.
  • Respond to incidents, including medical emergencies, company code of conduct violations, and alcohol/drug related incidents.
  • Complete daily, incident, and supplemental reports and other documentation as required.
  • Escort employees and security vendors for money pickups and drop-offs.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written.
  • Have full and open availability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer service driven with excellent listening skills.
  • Solution oriented and able to work through obstacles.
  • Willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi‑lingual.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certified.
  • Techniques for Alcohol Management (TABC) certified.

  • Level II Non‑Commission Security Officer license in good standing with the State of Texas.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Part‑time, variable position.
  • Comply with company and OSHA workplace safety protocols.

  • Perform repeating motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Move in various positions, including tight spaces.
