Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Pay Level: AUX 4
Reports To: Maintenance Lead
Calendar: 261 days/year
Department: Facility Services Department
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Primary
Purpose:
Assume responsibility for the safe condition of assigned facilities, including repairs to doors, windows, ceiling tile & grid, floor coverings, toilet stalls, lockers, hardware, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three years experience in general or specialized maintenance experience.
- Technical training/certification preferred.
- Meet minimum physical requirements. (Pre-employment examination required)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Examine assigned facilities for purpose of general maintenance.
- Enter and complete work orders as requested.
- Responsible for safe condition of assigned facilities.
- Must have regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Power tools (drill, saw, etc.), hand tools, welder (gas and electric air), shop tools (band saw, table saw), ladders, lifts.
Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Work around moving objects or vehicles.
