Our community is looking for an Activities Coordinator / Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging resident programs while also providing transportation support for residents.
Responsibilities Activities & Programming- Assist in planning, scheduling, and conducting programs that support residents' physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well‑being
- Encourage and engage residents to participate in activities
- Plan and facilitate daily programs, special events, and holiday celebrations
- Coordinate events from start to finish (set‑up, execution, breakdown)
- Organize and maintain an activities calendar and community newsletter
- Maintain activity spaces and supplies; manage inventory
- Coordinate with other departments to support programming needs
- Support memory care and mixed‑group programming as applicable
- Meet with new residents to introduce programs and build engagement
- Organize and support volunteer involvement
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide safe, timely transportation for residents to activities and appointments
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles, including mobility support
- Secure wheelchairs and ensure passenger safety
- Maintain vehicles (cleaning, fueling, basic inspections)
- Document vehicle condition and support compliance (registration, licensing)
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in activities, hospitality, or senior living preferred
- Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and clean driving record
- CDL may be required based on community needs
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences
This is a hands‑on, resident‑facing position that combines programming and transportation
