Position SummaryThe Success Coach is responsible for empowering Members to become self-sustainable through The Gatehouse Program. During the time a family is in the Program, the primary goal of the Success Coach is to serve as coach and positive role model, providing accountability and guidance so Members reach their goals for permanent, positive change. The Success Coach will demonstrate and model The Gatehouse values of faith, love, excellence, and empowerment and navigate conversations related to Christianity.
Job Duties- Stays informed about relevant occupational, educational, or economical information to assist in creating realistic and sustainable career and income goals for clients, per family size, at intake.
- Evaluates Program fit and counsels new assigned clients through the development of a personal empowerment plan within the first 45 days of the Program.
- Monitors monthly Gatehouse spend per client/family through monthly budgeting assessments to ensure consistent delivery of services.
- Acts as a liaison and attends all scheduled sessions between Gatehouse clients and their assigned Certified Financial Planner.
- Guides clients in establishing monthly and phase-based personal/financial benchmarks to ensure the client’s Program career and income goals are met by graduation.
- Evaluate clients’ progress towards established educational, employment, and income goals through assessments, data analytics, and regularly-scheduled one-on-one meetings.
- Ensures Support Team and external partners remain up-to-date on relevant updates, concerns, and other immediate needs for assigned clients and their children. Initiates and tracks cross-departmental collaboration initiatives to ensure clients have access to appropriate resources, based on their stated Program goals.
- Guides clients through weekly and bi-weekly educational and accountability exercises to help them problem-solve through personal, social, or behavioral problems preventing budgeting, income, career, and/or educational achievements by established deadlines.
- Provides crisis intervention and problem-solving strategies to clients when emergencies arise, including after-hours needs that require immediate response.
- Assist clients with developing problem-solving skills, life skills development, and spiritual development.
- Establishes and enforces Program policies and rules governing client engagement/behavior, addressing issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Monitors and evaluates clients’ monthly budgeting to ensure payments, debts, and Program-related financial obligations (such as monthly savings fund payments) are met.
- Monitors and evaluates clients’ employment status, schedules, and performance to ensure employment expectations are met for the duration of their Program. Collaborates with Career and Education Coach in instances when career-related concerns arise.
- Monitors and evaluates clients’ class schedule, student accounts, financial aid, and grades/GPA to ensure Program engagement expectations are met and education completion dates remain consistent.
- Maintains accurate and complete client records by established deadlines, as required by Gatehouse policies.
- Initiate and lead multidisciplinary meetings and other client-related discussions. Acts as primary point of contact between Support Team and assigned Gatehouse clients.
- Schedules and meets with Members on assigned caseload, outside of regular business hours when needed. Accepts responsibility and ensures availability during scheduled dates within rotating on-call schedule.
