IDR is seeking an Embedded Systems Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, TX.This role offers a unique chance to lead innovative embedded solutions at a technology-driven organization focused on hardware and data integration. The position involves working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, emphasizing high ownership and end-to-end system architecture.
Position Overview for the Embedded Systems Architect:- Serve as a high-impact technical leader within the engineering team focusing on embedded systems.
- Define embedded systems architecture, design system and firmware flows, and recommend hardware responses.
- Guide embedded development efforts toward stable, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
- Work across hardware, application software, test, and product engineering teams.
- Ensure seamless integration of embedded software, hardware, gateways, and communication layers aligning with product requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded software development, embedded systems, or software engineering.
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and integrating embedded firmware and software solutions within complex embedded systems.
- 2+ years of experience leading software architecture, embedded systems architecture, or platform design.
- Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ andfirmware development.
