Extended School Year Program
Extended School Year is a popular summer program run by our Special Education Department for 19 days after the close of the school year. It's a fun and rewarding program where educators can work alongside our talented Special Education staff to support students with special needs. If you're looking for a fun and challenging opportunity to earn some extra money while supporting our incredible students, this is a great program to work for!
Program Dates are as follows (we ask that all applicants commit to working the entirety of the program):

Training & Orientation Day
- June 15th:
First Day for Students
- June 19th:
Juneteenth Holiday (No Work) - July 3rd:
Independence Day Holiday (No Work) - July 10th:
Last Day for Students/Program Ends
Education and Experience:
~ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college ~ Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and have knowledge and experience in advanced first aid principles. ~ Classroom experience instructing children and adults. ~ One year experience in school or community health. Certificates & Licenses: ~ Must possess a valid California driver's license ~ Current California Registered Nurse license ~ Possession of or eligible for a California credential with an authorization as school nurse ~ Must possess a valid Public Health Nurse certificate.
~ Must possess a valid Audiometric certificate. ~ Must possess a valid CPR adult and child certificate. Instructor certificate desired.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
These requirements will have to be met prior to beginning employment. Criminal Justice Fingerprint and Background Clearance TB Clearance Must possess a valid California Driver's License Must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage Open until filled. First review will be 5.15.26.
