Associate Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Associate Teacher to support high quality early childhood instruction in our preschool program. In this role, you will work closely with a Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintain a positive and structured learning environment, and foster strong relationships with children and families. Education and Experience:

A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications.
• Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Possess or eligible to obtain a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Qualifications:

o 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development specific courses as outlined by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing o 3 semester units in Infant/Toddler courses (required for Toddler program, Title 22). Can be met with the prerequisite units from above category if qualifying. o 50+ days of instructional experience in a childcare and development program, working at least three hours per day within the last two years.

• Valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification (EMSA qualified) or ability to obtain within first six (6) months of employment

These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Fingerprint and Background clearance
• Child Abuse Central Index (CACI) clearance through California Department of Social Services
• Megan's Law sex offender registry clearance
• Physical examination (POPPS: Post-Offer, Pre-Placement Screening)
• Valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
