This is a 40 hour per week, calendar year position with the CDS Preschool Programs unit. It will be based in Gray, with some travel required to our other programs around Western Maine.
Salary Range$72,259 - $90,189 per year

The BCBA will evaluate and support children receiving special education services in CDS Preschool programs. It will provide training and support to staff with programming and behavior management, complete functional behavior assessments, develop behavior plans and provide consultation on their implementation.
Functional Responsibilities- Provide clinical and other consulting services to preschools
- Support the preschool team in social and regulatory curriculum development and implementation
- Develop individualized behavior plans based on observation and data, and provide support with staff training and implementation
- Document provision of services in an accurate, thorough, and professional manner
- Monitor interventions by providing support to classroom staff
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and classroom meetings as appropriate
- Complete billing and other required CDS reporting in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
- Assist the Preschool Program Manager/Curriculum Coordinator in the development and provision of staff training
- Function as a confidential employee and member of the preschool leadership team
- Master's degree in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Human Development, or related field
- Board certification in Applied Behavior Analysis
- Experience providing behavioral assessment and intervention for young children with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting, and reference checks (Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check and DHHS childcare eligibility are both required)
- Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems, and special education methods
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Ability to provide individual and group services in a variety of settings and models
- Ability to establish an effective rapport/relationship with children and parents
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an early childhood team
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varying personalities and environments
- Ability to travel to a variety of locations to deliver services
- Ability to treat and motivate young children
