Preschool Teacher/Case Manager

We are currently looking for qualified, dedicated IEP Case Manager/Special Education Teachers to help support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, to prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond!

We have full-time positions available at our Circle of Learning preschool in Gray. These are 40 hour per week, calendar year positions. We offer a great benefits package. The salary range is $50,981 - $88,358 per year.

The Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager is a member of the IEP team and provides services to children ages 3-5, ensuring that services meet the requirements of IDEA and Maine's Unified Special Education Regulations Chapter 101. This position involves both classroom teaching and case management.

• Teaching preschool children in a preschool classroom.
• Case managing the IEP process for each child assigned to the preschool classroom, which includes writing the annual and any amended IEPs and writing the Written Notice for each IEP meeting.
• Collecting data for each child in the preschool classroom.
• Supporting the supervision of Ed Techs in assigned classroom.

• 282B (Teacher of Children with Disabilities - PRE-KIND) certification required.
• Successful background, criminal records, and reference check.

• Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems and special education methods.
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to provide individual and group services in a preschool setting.
• Ability to establish an effective rapport/relationship with children and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an early childhood team.
• Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Ability to treat and motivate young children.

$50,981 - $88,358 per year.
