Special Education Teacher Gray-New Gloucester ~ High School

Come teach at the Gray-New Gloucester High School in the upcoming  school year, number 2 in the US News and World Report Best High Schools in Maine! This position teaches resource room math and a special education directed study. Class sizes are small. If you are passionate about math instruction, this is the job for you. Additional responsibilities include case management, developing and implementing IEP's, collaborating with other school educators, assessing and monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate records.

Knowledge of special education laws and regulations; proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs; strong communication and collaboration skills required. Successful prior teaching experience in special education and/or math preferred. Applicants must hold a Maine Certification Endorsement 282 and have a current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check prior to employment.
