15 - Long Term Substitute - Grade 1 Teacher
Gray-New Gloucester Russell School
The Gray-New Gloucester Russell School is seeking a highly qualified substitute to teach first grade for approximately 12 weeks beginning in October 2026.
Qualifications and Expectations- Positive attitude and the ability to create a strong classroom community.
- Develop meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Strong understanding of high-yield instructional strategies in all core content areas, particularly in developing foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.
- Experience with instruction of students of a similar age preferred.
- A Maine Department of Education teaching certificate (020) is preferred.
Compensation Range: $135.00 - $150.00 per day.
RequirementsApplicants must hold a current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check prior to employment.
