Summary
As a Manufacturing Technician 3 for the organization, your primary role is to provide technical support to manufacturing’s daily operations and perform continuous improvement activities with the goal of improving quality and reliability, while lowering total costs.
Responsibilities- You will be the first line of defense for manufacturing line down issues, especially related to mechanical issues.
- You will create machine programs for new products.
- You will provide support for line startup and product changeover for the manufacturing lines.
- You will initiate and implement efficiency, line utilization, quality, and cost improvement activities.
- You will be responsible for performing Preventative Maintenance.
- You will provide training to manufacturing personnel.
- You will work with process engineers and process technicians to implement new equipment and new processes, including identification, purchasing, validation, implementation, and training as part of the total solution.
- You will take the lead in training new Manufacturing Technicians
- You will function as a role model for the Manufacturing Technician position
- You must have an excellent understanding of manufacturing, strong understanding of electronics.
- You must have very strong software abilities: MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency required.
- You must have the ability to read schematics.
- You must have the ability to work self‑directed.
- You must be a team player.
- You must thrive in an environment experiencing routine and rapid change.
- You must have excellent organization and decision‑making skills.
- You must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- You must have the ability to continuously find and deliver productivity.
- 2 year college degree in electronics or related field plus a minimum of 4 years direct experience, or 8+ years of direct experience in equivalent role.
- Certification(s) for electronic assembly equipment
- Trained in implementing lean manufacturing practices and /or trained in Six Sigma.
