Surface Mount & Soldering Technician Roles – Multiple Openings!
We're hiring multiple SMT and Soldering Specialists to join our client's electronics manufacturing team in Gray, Maine. If you enjoy hands-on, detail-focused work and want a job where you can build real technical skills, this could be a great fit. These roles pay up to $25.71 per hr and are long-term, temporary-to-hire.
Whether you have experience with soldering, like problem-solving on SMT equipment, or simply enjoy working with small parts, there's a role here for you. You'll work in a technology-driven environment, doing a mix of SMT line support, soldering, inspection, and assembly work based on your experience.
Located just off I-95 and US Rt 202 in Gray, this facility is an easy drive from Portland, Freeport, Windham, Mechanic Falls, Auburn, and nearby towns.
Typical Daily Duties:- Solder and assemble circuit boards using through-hole and SMT methods
- Follow written instructions to move products through different stages of assembly
- Load and unload SMT equipment and keep materials flowing smoothly
- Help with basic troubleshooting on SMT loading/unloading equipment
- Support the SMT line with inspections, small adjustments, and changeovers
- Work with the team to keep production running safely and efficiently
- Ability to pass a vision exam and clearly see color-coded components
- Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small parts
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards is a big plus
- Comfortable using a computer and reading work instructions
- Strong attention to detail — you like doing things the right way
- Able to stay organized and work well with limited supervision
