Working Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with 1 hour paid lunch break.

Local Building and Refurbishment Company based in Rainham Essex require a Skilled multi-trade to work with our existing team.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Operative who has a timed severed apprenticeship in your initial trade (e.g. Plumbing, Plastering, Bricklaying, etc.) and competent across a range of additional trades.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can work independently, manage varied tasks, and deliver high‑quality workmanship across residential and/or commercial projects across London and Essex.

• Carry out works within your primary qualified trade to a high professional standard
• Undertake a variety of general building and maintenance tasks across multiple trades
• Complete reactive repairs, refurbishments, and project work
• Diagnose faults and recommend practical solutions
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations and health & safety standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
• Complete work within agreed timescales

• Fully qualified (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) in a recognised core trade
• Proven experience working across multiple trades
• Strong all‑round construction knowledge
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Have or be able to pass a DBS check
• Valid CSCS card
• Excellent problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Experience in property maintenance or refurbishment
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Experience in both domestic and commercial settings
