General Accountant

The Accountant provides timely and accurate record-keeping and reporting for R2R processes, processes the Accounting Department’s transactions, including recording transactions, preparing reports, fact-checking, filing, maintaining accounts, resolving discrepancies, and performing other duties as needed.

• THIS IS AN HOURLY POSITION LOCATED AT THEIR GRAYSLAKE, IL FACILITY

• Accounts Payable – Matches receivers to PO’s and invoices, enters accounts payable into system, processes e-Checks, ACH and wires, prepares monthly AP aging
• Accounts Receivable – Enters and applies cash receipts to accounts receivable, prepares monthly AR aging, makes collection calls, processes credits and billing adjustments
• Records financial transactions into database; ensures compliance with processes, procedures and policies
• Posts entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems.
• Processes complex payments and assists in preparation of billings and other financial reports

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 2+ years related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced math skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Familiar with an ERP system.
• Ability to work independently.

• Position requires sitting for extended periods, bending, walking, talking, and arm and finger movement.

• Work performed in an office environment.

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $56,100 ($29.98 an hr) – $84,200 ($40.48 an hr) (subject to change dependent on physical location)
