Salary/Compensation: Base salary range for 2026–2027 is $70,987 to $125,501 depending on education and experience; salary placement is based on education and experience. An optional summer contract may be available.

Position Type Details: Full-time, tenure-track faculty position. New faculty may be assigned to any campus. Mandatory orientation during the week of August 3–7, prior to start date of August 10, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Selects, prepares, maintains, and updates current curriculum, course outlines, and instructional materials.
  • Provides students and the academic division with a syllabus stating course objectives and learning outcomes, attendance policies, readings, timelines, evaluation criteria, and required information.
  • Teaches assigned courses each academic semester to meet student and program needs; delivers content using varied teaching styles across locations.
  • Provides instructional support to students, assists in advisement, and refers students to college services. Maintains office hours and timely communications with students.
  • Participates in department, division, and college-wide assessment of student learning; uses testing instruments and reports results as required.
  • Evaluates student performance and provides timely feedback; maintains accurate grade records and submits attendance and grades electronically by deadlines.
  • Resolves student complaints per College policies and procedures; encourages course evaluations and uses feedback to improve delivery.
  • Participates in advisory committees, governance groups, and other college/academic division activities.
  • Attends faculty and department meetings, Opening Week activities, and Commencement; maintains professionalism and ethics.
  • Completes mandated compliance trainings; uses technology (Navigate, Canvas, Zoom) to deliver instruction, maintain grades, and communicate with students.
  • Maintains current subject matter knowledge through professional development and publications.
  • Follows institutional and regulatory policies, engages in self-assessment, and supports

    College and division initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean or Associate Dean.

Skills and Abilities
  • College: Knowledge of college policies and procedures; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; knowledge of FERPA; safe work practices.
  • Department/Divisional: Knowledge of instructional policies and the ability to apply guidelines; ability to work with diverse populations and read instructional documents.
  • Decision-Making and Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to interpret policies and organize information logically to describe processes and procedures.

    Skills:

    Strong public speaking, written communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, students, and the public; ability to prioritize and collaborate on projects.
  • Physical: Ability to perform classroom tasks, sit/stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate weights, and operate office equipment; effective verbal communication.
  • Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree with a major in nursing; licensed to practice nursing in the State of Illinois AND two years of tested experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds and build professional relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
