School Psychologist
Prairie Crossing Charter School (PCCS) is currently accepting applications for a School Psychologist for the school year. This position works collaboratively with staff, students, and families to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment to support the school's unique mission of fostering academic excellence, social-emotional growth, personal responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

This position supports students, staff, and families with a focus on mental health, personal growth, and overall well-being. Completes tailored psycho educational evaluations for special education services. Works collaboratively with team members to gather and utilize evaluation data to help inform IEP/504 development, draft behavior intervention plans via the functional behavioral assessment process, and communicate effectively with families to help support their child's growth and development.
Attends and is an active participant in the Student Support Team, MTSS, Team Meetings, and IEP/504 Meetings as appropriate. Counsels individuals and leads Social Academic Instructional Groups.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of current educational pedagogy, trauma-informed and restorative practices, the Illinois SEL standards and components of quality social-emotional teaching practices, the problem-solving and evaluation processes, and applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Skilled in data analysis, collaboration, and consultation practices. Displays effective and efficient organization and time management skills. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills which are clear, child-focused, inclusive, and respectful.
Engages in self-reflection and self-evaluation with a growth mindset. Establishes and maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with team members.
Education/Experience MS or EdS in School Psychology from an accredited college or university is required. Illinois Professional Educator License is required. NCSP credential is a plus. Type 75 license is a plus. Environmental education background and/or a love for the environment is a plus.
Salary and Benefits Base salary:
Starts @ $49,457.38 annually and based upon Collective Bargaining Agreement (depending on experience, education & qualifications). Benefits Package includes competitive PTO as well as:

The position is from mid-August to the first part of June. Hours are negotiable; full-time or part-time. Hybrid work can be discussed.
