Adjunct Faculty, Community and Workforce Education

• Develop curriculum and teach classes for adult learners
• Develop and teach assigned subjects and levels within new or existing programs
• Fulfill administrative requirements and meet established deadlines
• Complete required training and remain current with compliance training
• Follow applicable College and department policies and procedures
• Adapt instruction and provide support for diverse adult learners
• Deliver courses in person, live online via Zoom, asynchronously online, or through a hybrid format
• Teach schedules that may include daytime, evening, and Saturday hours

• Demonstrated subject-matter knowledge, professional experience, or expertise relevant to the area of instruction
• Ability to communicate subject matter clearly and effectively to adult learners with varying levels of experience, knowledge, and ability
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches and provide appropriate support for diverse adult learners
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and other employment requirements, as applicable
• Competency with, or commitment to learn and use, Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft applications, classroom presentation technology, Canvas Learning Management System, enrollment software, Zoom, and other instructional technologies
• Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, identities, language groups, backgrounds, and abilities
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Required compliance training, including Title IX “Responsible Employee” requirements and, when applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority requirements
• Associate’s or other relevant degree in education, teaching, adult education, training and development, or a related field (desired)
• Degree, formal education, or advanced training in the subject matter or occupational area being taught (desired)
• Recognized industry credentials, licenses, or professional certifications relevant to the subject matter or occupational area (desired)
• Previous experience teaching, training, facilitating, coaching, or mentoring adult learners (desired)
• Professional or industry experience demonstrating current, applied subject-matter knowledge (desired)
• Bilingual or multilingual skills (desired)
• Experience working with adult learners from varied backgrounds (desired)
