Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching to students on time management, study skills, and executive functioning using field-specific examples
  • Build community and belonging within academic pathways
  • Engage with students inside and outside the Tutoring Center
  • Lead customized student activities and host events
  • Hold weekly engagement hours
  • Connect students with Learning Assistants and tutors
  • Support students across all campuses and locations as needed
  • Facilitate study groups, academic discussion groups, and personal and academic development workshops
  • Sponsor a student group aligned with the academic area
  • Visit gateway courses to introduce tutoring, coaching, and community opportunities
  • Collaborate with Advising, Student Activities and Inclusion, faculty, and the Career and Job Placement Center
  • Create and host field-specific digital engagement spaces
  • Participate in team and division planning, professional development, and college-wide committees
  • Perform other related functions as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport through one-on-one coaching
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with ability to develop, coordinate, and manage student-focused initiatives and events
  • Demonstrated ability to market and promote programs, services, and events
  • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt schedules and priorities
  • Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
  • Ability to work up to 19 hours per week
  • Master's degree desired
  • Academic coaching experience desired
  • Experience in a community college setting desired
  • Bilingual Spanish and English desired
