Position:
Special Education Teacher – Grades 7-8

W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School

Requirements:
Massachusetts Teaching Certificate:
Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5-12). College degree in the general area in which the teacher is assigned.

Qualifications:

• Delivery of research-based mathematics instruction
• Planning differentiated data-based instruction for all types of students
• Implementation of behavior intervention plans and other positive behavior intervention strategies
• Management of IEPs (i.e. leading annual review meetings, writing IEPs, implementation)
• Small group social-emotional learning leader
• Assessment of student growth and progress using a data-based approach
• Communication with students, parents, staff and community members
• Strong collaboration with related service providers, general education and special education teachers

Demonstrated success in co-teaching and collaboration with general educators, special education teachers, and related service providers including the ability to adjust, modify and develop appropriate programming. Other qualifications as established by the District.

Starting Date:
As soon as possible - preferably on or before August 27, 2026

Salary/Stipend:
Per BHEA Unit A Contract
