We’re looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Great Barrington, MA. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

As a Respiratory Therapy Professional, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients. Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Requirements
: NBRC, BLS, NRP, 5 Years.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
