Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Job Description & Requirements

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery setting with postpartum and mother-baby care responsibilities
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend and holidays as needed
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Utilizes specialized equipment such as infant warmers and fetal monitoring devices
• Collaborates with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to provide individualized patient care
• Private patient rooms and operating rooms for Cesarean births are available
• Responsibilities include care for laboring and postpartum mothers as well as newborns
• Works closely with a team of obstetrical nurses and lactation consultants
• Training includes an 8-hour, non-billable orientation session
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; all requests must be submitted with application
• Compliance with scrub or dress code policy is required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active MA RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Recent Postpartum/Mother Baby care experience is required
• BLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE certifications are required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years is required
• Current skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother Baby (within the past year) are required
• Candidate must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
• Must have a reliable vehicle for the assignment
