Job Summary
As a PRN Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver high quality, patient centered care in line with department requirements and state and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, employ nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage, advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and embody the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action for unintended responses.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Sign on bonus up to $15,000 for night shift.
