Spectrum Health Systems is seeking an independent practice Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, or Emergency) to support the care of adult patients in our outpatient opioid outpatient treatment programs.

Location: Great Barrington, North Adams, and Pittsfield, MA - Outpatient Treatment Programs

Schedule: 24-40 hours, weekdays only, with a minimum of 3 days on site. 2 additional days telehealth/virtual care optional for those seeking a full-time position

Pay rate: $155,000-$165,000/annually

The Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Medical Provider is responsible for:

  • Experiencing in treating opioid use disorders is preferred but not required—we provide training and ongoing support
  • Being in charge of all medical aspects of patient care in the OTP including admission assessment, medication initiation, dosing adjustments, medication side effects and withdrawal management
  • Coordinating care with the patient’s community providers for patients with medical conditions that impact treatment, such as pregnancy, hepatitis, cardiac and pulmonary disease, perioperative pain treatment, and others that arise during the course of treatment
  • Working independently with support from the Chief Medical Officer and other members of the medical team and serves as part of the multidisciplinary team caring for the patients
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner or higher level of education
  • Current CPR certificate or obtains certification within 90 days of hire required
  • Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
