Travel Labor and Delivery RN – Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Fusion Medical Staffing is offering a 13‑week travel assignment for a Labor and Delivery RN at a facility in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The position starts on 08/03/2026 and requires a 12‑hour night shift schedule (36 hours per week).

- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress) using evidence‑based protocols.
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
- Comply with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing.
- One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- STABLE and ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC).
- Other certifications and licenses may be required.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Basic PC skills.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel.
- Fine motor skill for procedures and equipment use.
- Ability to cope with frequent public contact and perform under pressure.
- Visual acuity and effective communication.
